The answers to the questions:

1. How are Spiritualists different to other people and what makes them different?

2. What different types of Spiritualists are there and what do they do?

3. How are they thought of by their friends, family, themselves, and random strangers?

4. How is a Spiritualists sense of belonging different to mine? Why?

~I dont think I will be able to answer question 4 until I finish my research because it is a question that I wont be able to answer by looking things up on the internet. Its the sort of question I will have to think about for a long time before I decide what the answer should be and I will have to have all of my information as evidence to prove that my answer is as perfect as i can get it.~

1. They are only set apart from other people by their beliefs/gifts/abilities and what other people think of them. If you walked down the street one day and a spiritualist walked past you, you wouldnt judge them because you wouldnt know what they believed in. You could even become best friends with one without them telling you anything about their beliefs. They are no different from anyone else, the only reason they are different is because people think of them that way.

2. I have mentioned the main ones, what they do and what the difference is between them on Page 1. One i didnt mention is Spiritism which is the french version of spiritualism. The ones I mentioned on page 1 are not actual types of spiritualists but they are very similar. There are two proper types of spiritualists which are the Anglo-American and the French and I am not yet sure on what each of these do or the difference between them. There is also two different types of mediumship - mental mediumship and physical mediumship.

3. I interviewed an Empath one weekend and asked her "How do you think others percieve you and your gift and abilities?". The first thing she said was "What other people think of me is none of my business", so i changed the question to "When people find out about your abilities, what do you think they are thinking, or who do you think they are seeing you as?" She then said "I think their initial thoughts about me are fear but for different reasons. some people think I am in league with the devil, others think that I am lying because its not a part of their religion and yet others are scared because they dont actually know what it is that I do. Of course there are a few that meet me and are fascinated by my gifts."

4. It is obvious that no-ones sense of belonging is ever the same as any one elses but the difference between my sense of belonging and a spiritualists sense of belonging is probably further apart than two people that walk past eachother on the street that have no idea who the other person is. The differences that set me and a spiritualist apart are all to do with experiences, beliefs and religion. Of course after doing my research and learning as much as I have I am able to understand more about them but I will never be the same person as them and i can never re-live their experiences. To me, my sense of belonging sort of revolves around my friends because almost everything I do involves other people - mainly friends and family. But I think that a spiritualists sense of belonging would be quite different. I cant say how exactly but I know I will probably never be able to explain it because I am not them and I just dont know enough to be able to explain it.
